CHENNAI: The Air India flight from Singapore with 186 passengers aborted its landing last minute and circled for nearly 20 minutes as wind conditions changed suddenly on Wednesday morning.

Around 10.15 am, the flight was at an altitude of 200 feet and approaching the runway to land. Suddenly, it started ascending and went up to 3,500 feet and circled the air for around 20 minutes.

Around 10.37 am, the flight landed safely in the airport. Courses at the airport said that when the flight was approaching the runway, wind speed increased unexpectedly.

As the pilot felt it was risky to continue, he aborted the landing and went up.

After the wind speed became normal, the flight landed in the airport safely.
