A tottering 84-year-old Narayanappa from Hosur caught onlooker’s attention at Chintardaripet when he declared his allegiance to the DMK, especially his love for former DMK president M Karunanidhi. Narayanappa said, “We have thalapathi (Stalin),” when reminded of Karunanidhi’s demise. His unwavering allegiance to the DMK did not go unnoticed.

On Tuesday, Stalin hosted Nayaranappa at party headquarters Anna Arivalayam by presenting a shawl and a figurine of Karunanidhi. Stalin also offered a copy of Wednesday’s edition of ‘Murasoli’ carrying an article about the octogenarian’s loyalty. “Has your photograph come out well?” Stalin was heard asking an elated Narayanappa, who was seen skimming the party organ in a short video of the rendezvous released by the DMK headquarters.
