7 vehicles seized by cops go up in flames

Seven vehicles seized by Tiruvallur police in connection with various cases went up in flames at Ponneri Taluk office on Monday.

CHENNAI: The complex apart from the Taluk office also houses the Tahsildar office, court, and prison. The Tiruvallur police have parked the seized vehicles at an empty ground in the complex.

A few advocates noticed smoke emanating from one of the vehicles and alerted the fire and rescue personnel. However, before they reached the spot, the fire spread to six vehicles.
