668 Indians arrive at city airport from four countries

As many as 668 Indians from Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, and England arrived at the Chennai airport on Monday night.

The first flight arrived from London with 115 Indians, including 12 children. After samples were collected for COVID-19 test, all the passengers were taken to the quarantine camps on special vehicles. Later, a special flight from Qatar arrived with 204 Indians. Sources said 157 passengers chose the free stay in Melakotaiyur, while the rest were taken to hotels. A special fight with 170 employees of a private firm from Dubai also landed during the day. In the wee hours of Tuesday, a special flight from Bahrain arrived with 179 passengers. After collecting samples, 145 of them were taken to the free stay camp, and the rest were taken to hotels.
