314 arrive in city on 2 flights from Muscat, Dammam

As many as 314 Indians returned from Dammam and Muscat on special flights on Sunday.

While the special flight from Dammam reached the airport here at 8.30 pm on Sunday, the special flight from Muscat reached at 10.30 pm. In both the flights, there were 314 passengers, including 17 children and two infants.

At the airport, all of them were asked to follow social distancing and after completing the COVID-19 swab test and the Customs and Immigration checkup, all of them were guided to the exit gates. There the passengers were welcomed by the government officials and they were taken to the quarantine camps.

Sources said that only 23 of the 314 passengers had preferred to opt for the free quarantine, which was arranged in Melakotaiyur. The remaining 291 passengers, who opted for paid quarantine, were taken to various star hotels in the city.
