30-year-old migrant worker falls to death in Tondiarpet

CHENNAI: A 30-year-old migrant worker allegedly slipped and fell to death from the second floor of a godown in Tondiarpet on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Dhirendra Kumar of Bihar.

Investigations revealed that Dhirendra works at a godown and he stays there. On Sunday night, he was drinking with his colleagues.

After a while, he walked to attend nature’s call when he allegedly slipped and fell.

His colleagues rushed to his rescue and sent him to a government hospital where he was declared brought dead. New Washermenpet police have registered a case and sent the body for autopsy.
