Police said that the crane was being used to set up the lighting for the shoot and had collapsed down killing three workers on the set. “Several others who have been critically injured were rushed to the nearest hospital and the death toll could increase,” a police officer said.
The incident reportedly took place around 10 pm. The deceased have been identified as Madhu (29) and Chandran (60) from the catering department, besides Krishna (34), an assistant director. Indian 2 is directed by Shankar and is a sequel to the 1996 hit film Indian.
