22-yr-old woman falls to death from sixth floor in Otteri

A 22-year-old woman died after falling from the sixth floor of an apartment on Stephenson Road in Otteri. The police suspect that it could be a suicide.

Monica (22), who was living on the first floor of the building with her mother and elder sister, had completed BBA and was undergoing beautician training course. On Friday morning, she fell from the sixth floor, a height of about 100 feet.


The neighbours who found her in a pool of blood rushed her to Government KilpaukMedical College Hospital where she wasdeclared, brought dead.


The Otteri police, who have registered a case, said preliminary investigation indicated that Monica was upset for the last few days and had called in leave on Friday.


They suspect that she could have committed suicide and have begun investigation.
