22 life convicts released for good conduct from Puzhal

Earlier, the department on saturday released 75 life convict prisoners, who had completed more than 10 years of imprisonment, on account of their good behaviour.

CHENNAI: On the occasion of former chief minister CN Annadurai's birth anniversary, 22 life convict prisoners were released from puzhal prison, yesterday.

Earlier, the department on saturday released 75 life convict prisoners, who had completed more than 10 years of imprisonment, on account of their good behaviour.

Of the 75 persons, 22 were serving time in Central Prison Madurai while 13 from Central Prison-Puzhal were released too.

Four prisoners from the Borstal school, Pudukottai and two each from special prison for women in Puzhal and Tiruchy were released too.
