CHENNAI: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) on Wednesday arrested a Sub-Inspector and a Special Sub-Inspector from Tirumullaivoyal police station for allegedly demanding and accepting a Rs 20,000 bribe from a woman running a beauty parlour.

The arrested officers were SI Valarmathi and SSI Amul.

Acting on the woman’s complaint, a DVAC team set up a trap at the police station and caught both officers red-handed.
