120 paatis come together to recreate heirloom recipes

Food brings along a lot of nostalgic memories, particularly when prepared by our grandmothers. Marking World Kindness Day, co-working space WSquare, along with Vishranthi Charitable Trust, an old-age home for destitute women, is presenting ‘Paatiyin Kai Manam’.

The event will allow grandmothers from the Trust to recreate their family recipes and take care of the stalls at the marketplace. Through the event, the organisers aim to showcase that age is no barrier for women to turn into entrepreneurs.

Participating grandmas will bring out at least 20 recipes, which will be prepared and served to the audience. Interested people can volunteer and help in serving the food. The event will be held on December 8 from 10 am to 6 pm at Vishranthi Charitable Trust in Palavakkam.
