CHENNAI: Mitsubishi Electric India is expanding its manufacturing footprint with a Rs 2,100 crore investment in a facility at Gummidipoondi, which is set to be inaugurated shortly by Chief Minister MK Stalin.

The facility aims to strengthen India’s localised HVAC ecosystem.

Spread over 2,10,000 sq metres, the manufacturing unit will have an annual capacity of three lakh air conditioners and 6.50 lakh compressors.
