Kirloskar Brothers strengthens operations in Tamil Nadu

COIMBATORE: Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), a leading Indian multinational engineering company and a pioneer in fluid management solutions, inaugurated a new factory building at its Kaniyur manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu recently

The inauguration coincides with KBL completing 100 years since the manufacturing and installation of India’s first centrifugal pump in January 1926.

The new factory in Kaniyur located in Coimbatore district, building is designed to enhance productivity, improve operational efficiency and support advanced manufacturing processes. It will enable KBL to meet growing domestic and global demand while maintaining uncompromising quality standards.

Rama Kirloskar, joint managing director, Kirloskar Brothers Limited, said: “This new factory building at Kaniyur reflects our confidence in India’s manufacturing strength and our readiness for the future. As we celebrate 100 years since installing India’s first centrifugal pump, this facility enhances our ability to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions while remaining deeply committed to customer value, people empowerment, and nation-building.”

With renewable sources now meeting nearly 80% of the facility’s electricity requirements, the green initiative is to deliver annual savings of approximately Rs 21.64 lakh.
