CHENNAI: Oil marketing companies on Thursday announced a hike in the price of commercial LPG cylinders in Chennai, marking an increase after two months of price reductions.
The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by Rs 110 and is now sold at Rs 1,849.50 in the city.
In contrast, the price of the 14-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged at Rs 868.50.
Oil companies revise fuel and cooking gas prices based on factors such as international crude oil prices and the exchange rate of the Indian rupee against the US dollar. Prices of LPG cylinders are typically revised on the first day of every month.
