Amid lockdown, Hyundai Motor India exports over 5K units

Car maker Hyundai Motor India Ltd. on Saturday said it has exported over 5,000 units in May after restarting production.

In a statement issued here the company said after restarting production on May 8 it has produced over 5,000 units for export markets.

Pointing out the company's exports of over three million cars since 1999, S.S. Kim, Managing Director and Chief Executive Office said: "We have once again made a humble beginning towards normalcy by exporting more than 5,000 units in May 2020."

In calendar year, Hyundai Motor India exported 1,81,200 units with 792 customised variants according to country specific preference and demand.
