I often get shoulder pain in my right shoulder. What must I do to prevent it?

—John Mark, a resident of Nanganallur

The movement should not be restricted in the shoulder. If it is due to some past injury, opinion of the doctors is necessary. Try to exercise by gently moving your shoulder while slowly stretching it. Electrotherapy can also be done if doctors recommend. However, too much pressure on the shoulder should be avoided.  Do not stoop while walking or standing and ensure that elbow is below the shoulder height to avoid getting hurt. You should support your lower back while sitting in case of shoulder pain.

What can be done to control diabetes affectively?

—A Uma, Resident of Virugambakkam

One has to focus on diet, exercise, inner transformation and medications to reverse and control diabetes. From various studies it is found that acidic body leads to several diseases or acidic medium is not a good medium for good health. Hence one should stop tobacco and alcohol consumption and reduce the intake of junk food as much as possible. Regular exercise that includes cardio, weight training and snit-gravity exercises can help. Stress also impacts in causing insulin resistance which in turn may cause diabetes. Hence stress should not be neglected and meditation should be practiced.
