CHENNAI:The next gen of Amazon smart displays finally kept their date. Amazon has just launched the all new Echo Show 11 and fourth-generation Echo Show 8 smart displays with Alexa in India.
These smart displays come with a raft of new features including an all-new audio architecture and Omnisense custom sensor platform, along with a new design that includes edge-to-edge glass displays and thin bezels.
Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 are powered by AZ3 Pro, a custom designed silicon chip enabling fast performance.
The most striking feature is the display itself. Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 have maximised viewing area at 11 inches and 8.7 inches, respectively, compared to previous Echo Show smart displays in India.
The new design makes a big impression with edge-to-edge glass displays and thin bezels. The new design template also features includes a sleek design, 3D-knit fabric and ambient visuals that adapt to the environment for viewing comfort.
There’s also a 13MP camera in the mix with centred auto-framing, and noise reduction technology. This allows you to connect via clear video calls with friends and family who have Echo smart displays or the Alexa app.
We’ve been fans of the acoustics of the previous generation of Amazon Show devices. Both this year’s devices come with front-firing stereo speakers and a custom woofer for room-filling sound with spatial audio.
Other features include Omnisense, a custom sensor platform designed for ambient AI. It uses a range of sensors and signals, including the 13-megapixel (MP) camera, audio, ultrasound, Wi-Fi radar, accelerometer, and Wi-Fi CSI to deliver personalised, proactive, and helpful Alexa experiences.
The device comes in a choice of two colours including our favourite – Glacier White (Rs 23,999 onwards)
