A young boy from a Chennai school, who was later identified as Krishaang, a contestant on the new season of Super Singer Junior, has become the new rage on social media. He is seen belting his heart out while singing Buddhi Ulla Manidharellam, the famous song from Tamil film Annai rendered in characteristic style by the yesteryear artiste Chandrababu.

The boy came in for a lot of praise from both the Twitterati and other musicians, especially for his enthusiasm, enunciation of the language and his delightful ability to try and capture the uniqueness of Chandrababu’s voice. The video has been shared quite a few times in the last two days.

Music composer S Thaman hailed the boy as the future Shankar Mahadevan and tweeted,“This song has so many chromatic notes and crazy vibratos. This boy jus nailed it with somuch ease. I request his parents to give [him] the best ever training possible.”
