Basking in the success of her latest Diwali family entertainer Mookuthi Amman, 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara's upcoming thriller 'Netrikann' film's teaser is out.

This teaser release coincides with Nayan's birthday.

There seems to be a sentiment in work in this film.

Netrikann is produced by her beau Vignesh Shivan, who directed Naanum Rowdy Dhaan --- this is the film Shivan and Nayanthara were smitten by each other --- this film was a summer vacation entertainer in 2016.

In Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Nayanthara is hearing impaired and in Netrikann she is visually impaired. This might be a success sentiment.

Though not giving away much, Nayanthara is hounded by a serial killer, she narrates this by alluding to a wolf and sheep 'kutti' story.

What amazes is Nayanthara refers to herself as a brave sheep, meaning, her actions are of an informed person and not a guileless victim.

Interestingly, Netrikann's plot touches upon Udhayanidhi Stalin starrer Psycho which released in early 2020, where the protagonist is after a serial killer who abducts his girlfriend.

Directed by Milind Rau who previously made Aval, music is composed by Girish Gopalakrishnan, he also had scored for Mookuthi Amman. The film without making a specific mention of the release date has announced a 2021 release.
