The actor played the lead role in films like Imsai Arasan 23aam Pulikesi, Indralogathil Na Azhagappan and Eli. “I have a few films this year, and I will be playing a comedian in them. I have decided that I won’t be playing a hero in future,” he said. When asked the reason for not being in the directors’ scheme of things lately, he replied, “It was me who has been avoiding Tamil cinema. Despite getting quite a few offers, I have rejected them.” He confirmed that he would be playing the role of Esakki Muthu in the sequel to Kamal Haasan’s Thevar Magan titled Thalaivan Irukkiran. On a concluding note, he joked that he would be contesting for the post of Chief Minister in 2021 and asked if anyone would vote for him.
