In a video interacton, Parthiban said, “I’m planning to remake Housefull in Hindi. The film will emphasise on the importance of theatres as well as theatre culture in our country. I have sent the DVD of the movie to Amitabh sir through a producer named Ramesh. I’m awaiting his nod. I hope that happens soon.” Veteran director Bhagyaraj also agreed with Parthiban and said that it was disheartening to see closed theatres where fans usually gather on Fridays to celebrate their matinee idols

Housefull had Parthiban playing a theatre owner named Ayya and also starred Vikram and Suvalakshmi. Apart from this, the filmmaker is also planning to remake is latest outing Oththa Seruppu with acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
