CHENNAI: One of the most anticipated films of the year, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu released on Thursday with fans celebrating the trio’s —Silambarasan, Gautham Vasudev Menon and AR Rahman — comeback on big screens. Going by the first day first show (FDFS) reports on the social media, the film has managed to meet the expectations it set.
The two-part film follows the life of Muthu (Silambarasan TR) who comes to Mumbai in a penurious condition to take over the maximum city's underworld. Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has teamed with writer Jeyamohan for the film and songs crooned by AR Rahman have turned out to be instant favourites among fans.
According to reactions, people have been loving the screenplay of the film, lead to the second installment, STR's transformation, AR Rahman's music and the cinematography.
