Vishal pulls off a Jekyll and Hyde in and as Purushan

The director has Mookuthi Amman 2 with Nayanthara in the pipeline. The film is under production. Vishal is currently busy with his directorial debut, Magudam.

CHENNAI: A few days ago, it was announced that the iconic trio, Vishal, Sundar C and Hiphop Adhi, are coming together again after Aambala and Action. On Wednesday, the quirky title promo of the upcoming film was unveiled by the makers. Titled Purushan, the film features Tamannaah and Yogi Babu in key roles.

The five-minute 41-second title promo shows Vishal as a naive husband and Tamannaah as an authoritative wife. Yogi Babu is a famous small-screen actor. Though initially, Vishal is shown as a family man, with some mystery added to his characterisation.

A group of thugs enter his home and tries to attack him as he makes tea in the kitchen. However, he finishes them off quietly as Yogi Babu is stunned, while Tamannaah is unaware. At the end of the teaser, Sundar C reveals the name of the film as Purushan to Hiphop Adhi and also shares that the shooting will begin next week.

ACS Arun Kumar is producing Purushan. On the technical front, Gopi Amarnath is the cinematographer, while Roger is the editor.

Previously, Sundar C and Vishal have collaborated for Madha Gaja Raja, Aambala, Action, and the actor did a cameo role in Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru. Being an independent artiste, Adhi made his musical debut in films in Aambala. After that, he became a frequent collaborator of Sundar C and went on to compose tunes for Aranmanai 2 and 4, Kalakalappu 2, Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, Action, and the upcoming Mookuthi Amman 2.

Meanwhile, the director has Mookuthi Amman 2 with Nayanthara in the pipeline. The film is under production. Vishal is currently busy with his directorial debut, Magudam.
