Virtual photo summit to raise funds for daily wage workers

World’s best photographers and artists are coming together to raise funds for daily wage earners affected due to lockdown through an event called Virtual Photo Summit that will be held from April 24 to 26.

It is a ticketed event and will be hosted on Virtual Photo Summit’s Facebook Page. This online event will feature artist talks, digital exhibitions, recorded video interviews, audio interviews with photo slideshows and digital exhibitions.

Some prominent photographers who are taking part in this fundraising online event include Jody MacDonald, Abhinav Chandel, John Stanmeyer, Siddharth Behl, Shivya Nath and Michael Goh. Fifty per cent of the funds will be given to daily wage earners across the country through the ongoing campaign ‘India Fights Against Corona’. The next 50 per cent of funds will be donated to professional photographers whose livelihoods have been severely impacted by COVID-19.
