CHENNAI: Sirai, the 25th film of Vikram Prabhu, which hit theatres on December 25, is set to premiere on ZEE5 on January 23.
The film follows a cop escorting a prisoner from Vellore prison to a Sivagangai court, where unexpected interactions unfold. Based on true events, the film is directed by debutant director Suresh Rajakumari, a former associate of Vetri Maaran, and is produced by Seven Screen Studio.
The drama stars Vikram Prabhu in the lead role, with Anantha as his co-star, and explores an emotionally driven storyline aimed at drawing out raw human responses.
Sirai also marked the debut of LK Akshay Kumar, son of the film's producer SS Lalit Kumar. The film also starred Anishma Anilkumar and Anantha.
Music for Sirai was composed by Justin Prabhakaran, with cinematography by Madhesh Manickam, editing by Philomin Raj, and action choreography by Prabhu.
