CHENNAI: The makers of Pallichattambi, a big-budget period film directed by Dijo Jose Antony and starring Tovino Thomas in the lead, have unveiled a special birthday poster to mark the actor’s birthday.

The poster follows the recent release of the film’s motion poster, which received an enthusiastic response across social media, drawing strong reach and positive attention.

Released in five languages, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada, the birthday poster offers another glimpse into Tovino Thomas’s striking new look, one that the makers say is unlike anything audiences have seen before. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on April 9.

Produced under the banners of Worldwide Films and C Qube Bros Entertainments, Pallichattambi is produced by Noufal and Brijeesh, along with Chanukya, Chaithanya and Charan. The screenplay is written by S.

Suresh Babu, with Kayadu Lohar playing the female lead. The cast also includes Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam and Prasanth Alexander.

Set in the 1950s-60s, the film has cinematography by Tijo Tomy and music by Jakes Bejoy.
