“Mano was an associate to Ramkumar of Mundasupatti and Indru Netru Naalai, a period film. Having assisted in such films, he had no qualms about whether the audience would find the story complicated. Moreover, the time loop concept is something that wouldn’t confuse them,” said Satheesh Kumar the lead of Jango.

Talking about his character, he told DT Next, “I play a surgeon, who goes through an inner struggle. A few of my friends are doctors in Coimbatore and I had to observe them go about with the character,” he added. Satheesh also said that the role required a lot of transformation because of the concept.

“I went by Mano’s vision. He wouldn’t let his actors go overboard in any of the scenes. He extracted performances from us the way he wanted it to be,” said the actor.

Talking about the release plans, Satheesh said, “We need to see if the audience are willing to come to theatres for big Pongal releases. Only then we can decide.”

Produced by CV Kumar and co-produced by Surendirran Ravi, Jango has Mirnalini Ravi playing the female lead and has Ghibran as the music director
