CHENNAI: Making way for the upcoming new releases, Vijay’s Theri re-release was postponed during Pongal, and it was announced that the film will hit the big screens again on January 23, locking horns with Ajith Kumar-starrer Mankatha re-release.

However, the producer of Theri, Kalaippuli S Thanu, has shared that the Atlee-directorial is again getting postponed, as per the request of Draupathi 2 and Hotspot 2 Much teams. Director of Draupathi 2, Mohan G, had requested Thanu to consider the postponement of the re-release, as it will be a boost for new entrants. After the postponement announcement, the director and producer of Draupathi 2, Chola Chakkaravarthi, met Thanu and expressed their gratitude.

Hotspot 2 Much, directed by Vignesh Karthick, is backed by KJ Balamanimarbhan and Aneel K Reddy.

Draupathi 2 and Hotspot 2 Much are scheduled to release in theatres on January 23.
