Team AK 61 to take off to Bangkok for action sequences

CHENNAI: The latest update from the camp of Ajith’s upcoming film tentatively titled AK 61 is that the team has completed shooting for an intense shooting scheduled at the Arakku Valley near Vizag and will be flying out of the country for last few legs of shoot in September. “Team AK 61 aka Ajith 61 will be flying to Bangkok to shoot for important sequences that involve bike stuntmen from South East Asia. Ajith will be a part of this schedule that will go on for 20 days. 85 per cent of the shoot is complete and the film will be entirely wrapped up in October,” said a tinseltown source to DT Next.

The yet-untitled project is a heist thriller that will have Ajith in different shades. Manju Warrier plays the female lead and other details of the film have been kept under wraps. AK 61 is Ajith’s third collaboration with H Vinoth after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. There have been reports that the film is likely to hit the screens for Pongal next year. Ajith will also begin the shoot of his 62nd film with Vignesh Shivan in December, which will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions. While there were rumours on Tuesday that AK 62 will have Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the heroine to Ajith, source in the know denied it.
