CHENNAI: Actor Silambarasan TR has reportedly purchased a luxury villa in Dubai located close to the residence of actor Ajith Kumar, adding to the growing list of Indian film celebrities investing in high-end properties in the emirate.
According to a Maalaimalar report, the luxury villa has been purchased at an estimated cost of Rs 57 crore. Reports further state that an advance amount of Rs 22 crore for the property was paid by a well-known film producer.
In recent years, several prominent personalities from the Indian film industry including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema have been increasingly investing in real estate in Dubai.
From the Tamil film industry alone, stars such as Ajith Kumar, Nayanthara, and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja are among those who already own properties in the city.
