None of the actors were seen at any of the star hotels and nor were any lavish private parties hosted by the filmy crowd. Vikram was busy shooting for Cobra. He just about managed to cut a New Year’s cake on the sets, before rushing home to celebrate the evening with his family. Jayam Ravi, who is usually known to welcome New Year with his besties Arun Vijay and Bharath is shooting for Ponniyin Selvan in Thailand. Sources tell us that Anirudh, who is known to party-hop on special occasions is also out of the country while the rest of his family members Dhanush, Aishwarya and Soundarya celebrated a homely New Year’s Eve at Poes Garden. The only exception was Venkat Prabhu and co, who has a bash at an undisclosed location in the heart of the city. Another party was held at Simbu’s T Nagar residence, which was attended by Bigg Boss stars Mahath Raghavendra, Aishwarya Dutta, Sandy and Raiza Wilson. Vishal Krishna, who usually celebrates with his brother and sister-in-law took off to New York from London after wrapping up the shoot of Thupparivaalan 2 to welcome 2020.
