Shalini will star opposite Ranveer Singh and the movie is produced by Yash Raj Films. The movie is being helmed by debutant writer-director Divyang Thakkar. Farhan Akhtar’s Toofan which was earlier planned to be released on the same date is now said to be released on September 18. Speaking about this latest development, a Yash Raj Films spokesperson said, “In the interest of both films and to ensure an ideal theatrical release, (producers) Aditya Chopra and Ritesh Sidhwani have decided to release their films on different dates. YRF will release Jayeshbhai Jordaar on October 2 and Excel Entertainment will release Toofaan on September 18.”
