Sardar trailer: Karthi is the 'master of disguise'

CHENNAI: Makers of the upcoming action entertainer Sardar, featuring actor Karthi and Raashi Khanna in the lead, have released the trailer of the film on Friday.

Releasing the trailer, the actor wrote, "#SARDAR will be a grounded Indian spy thriller. Our team feels proud to present the trailer to you all. #SardarDeepavali #SardarTrailer @Psmithran @lakku76 @gvprakash @Udhaystalin @iamnagarjuna." (sic)

Karthi is shown in the trailer as a spy who dons a disguise and manages to infiltrate into the Indian military's confiscation vault where all of the secrets of the Intelligence unit are held.

Karthi, who hasn't experimented much with prosthetic make-ups in his movies, makes the cut in every look shown in the trailer. Sardar's trailer promises razor-sharp stunt sequences, thanks to stunt choreographer Dilip Subburayan.

The film has triggered huge interest among fans as Karthi will be seen in multiple looks. Also, actress Laila's comeback in the film has garnered a huge attention for the film.

Sardar is bankrolled by Lakshman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures. The film's music is scored by G V Prakash Kumar, cinematography by George C Williams and cuts are handled by Ruben. The film also features Chunky Pandey, Rajisha Vijayan and Laila in crucial roles.

Sardar will hit the screens in Tamil and Telugu on October 21 coinciding with the Deepavali holidays.
