Now, the makers have come up with an official announcement that Vijay’s father and director, SA Chandrasekhar, has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film.

Sources say that he will be playing the role of a politician and his character will be seen in the second half of the film. Earlier this week, the team revealed that actors Karunakaran and Premgi Amaren will also be a part of this magnum opus. Touted to be a political thriller, major portions of the film will be shot in Malaysia and Chennai. Meanwhile, Kalyani Priyadarshan, who made her debut in Tamil with Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero, will be seen playing the female lead in the film.
