Talking to DT Next, Caarthick said, “We titled it Soorpanagai because there is a mystery that revolves around the character. Apart from that the film will be high on fantasy, humour, action and other elements that will intrigue the audience.” Talking about the storyline, the director added, “In the film, Regina plays an archaeologist. Similar to Soorpanaka in Ramayana, she plays a bold, tough woman. During one of her excavations, she discovers something in a quicksand and the story takes off from there.” The first look poster of the film went on to become an instant hit on social media and the netizens have lauded the actress for her makeover. The film has been titled Nene Naa in Telugu. Jayaprakash and Akshara Gowda are playing pivotal roles in the film, which has its music by Sam CS. The shooting of the film will be wrapped up in a week, and the makers are planning to release Soorpanagai in summer this year.
