The rise of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, which hit his ambitious project RRR with Telugu stars Junior NTR and Ram Charan, did not drive director SS Rajamouli to despair. Instead, he made use of the time to prepare for the next, thanks to his dad. After stating during a media interaction that his next project would be with Mahesh Babu, the director said he has more than one storyline in mind. “When RRR was postponed due to the pandemic, my father Vijayendra Prasad ordered me not to stay idle. We started dabbling with a couple of ideas, and have two pitches for Mahesh Babu now,” explained Rajamouli. “Both of them are exciting and large-scale movies,” Rajamouli added, which has understandably given rise to high expectations among both his and Mahesh Babu fans. Though he is just beginning the script, he promised Mahesh’s fans that he would deliver a good script. Rajamouli added that he was hoping to start shooting the film by the end of 2022, but the other details are still kept under the wraps by the filmmaker who has delivered some of the biggest box office hits in the recent years.
