Earlier, there were reports that director  Karthik Thangavel will  soon be working with Vishal.

It was speculated that the project will be bankrolled by producer Kathiresan known for financing acclaimed movies like Jigarthanda and Aadukalam.

A source from the production unit has confirmed this development to DT Next and added, “Priya Bhavani Shankar will be starring opposite Vishal and the shoot will go on floors post lockdown.” It is said that the makers held talks with the actors during the ongoing lockdown period.

The stars then gave their nod after liking the movie’s script. Karthik had won acclaim for his debut film Adangamaru starring Jayam Ravi. Meanwhile, Priya Bhavani is said to appear in Raghava Lawrence’s next film.

The actress recently completed the shoot for the Tamil remake of the Telugu film Pellichoopulu. She is also part of Indian 2, Bommai, Kuruthi Aattam, and her Telugu debut, Aham Brahmasmi.

Vishal, who was last seen in Sundar C’s Action, is busy working for Thupparivaalan 2. The sequel was initially helmed by Mysskin. However, due to creative differences, the filmmaker parted ways.

Vishal then decided to direct and produce the sequel himself and will appear as the hero. Vishal is also working for Chakra, a sequel to Irumbu Thirai.
