Pradeep Ranganathan not the director of Chiyaan 61

Since Monday, there have been strong rumours doing the rounds that director Pradeep Ranganathan of Comali fame will be helming Vikram’s next film which will be the actor’s 61st.

The hashtag even started trending on the internet. However, highly reliable sources close to the actor told DT Next, “These are baseless rumours. Vikram has Chiyaan 60, Ponniyin Selvan, Cobra and Dhruva Natchathiram in his line-up. Only when these films are completed we will have a clarity on 61. Until then such rumours are not to be believed.” The National-award winning actor will resume shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan on Wednesday.
