After winning awards and accolades for his latest outing, Oththa Seruppu Size 7, actor-director Parthiban is all set to shoot for his upcoming venture titled Iravin Nizhal.

While his previous film was an experiment of sorts with only one character on screen, his upcoming film, is claimed to be Asia’s first single-shot feature film. On Wednesday, Veteran director Bharathiraja took to his social media page to announce details regarding the project and the title.

Talking to DT Next about the film, Parthiban said, “Fifteen years ago, I came up with the idea of directing a feature film featuring just one character. However, I implemented it only in 2019. Likewise, I came up with this concept of shooting a feature film in single-shot five years ago. I am happy that things are finally shaping up and the pre-production works have already begun.” He adds, “Though I will be playing the protagonist in the film, unlike Oththa Seruppu, there will be a lot of other artistes sharing screen space with me. Major portions of the film will be shot in Chennai. I can’t reveal more as it is too early.”

Parthiban is also planning to make another film with comedian Vadivelu in a pivotal role. However, things will be finalised only after completing Iravin Nizhal.
