Parasakthi starring Sivakarthikeyan to hit OTT on this date

CHENNAI: Sivakarthikeyan’s Pongal release Parasakthi is all set to get its digital premiere this week. The Tamil socio-political drama, which stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Sreeleela, and Atharva Murali, will start streaming on ZEE5 from February 7.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, Parasakthi is based on a story by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi. Based on true events, the film revolves around the Anti-Hindi Imposition agitations in Tamil Nadu that happened in 1965.

In our review of Parasakthi, we said it stands out as a well-crafted political drama, where director Sudha Kongara skillfully blended historical themes with commercial cinema, delivering a compelling and emotionally-charged portrayal of the anti-Hindi imposition movement.  

Parasakthi's supporting cast includes Guru Somasundaram, Sandhya Mridul, and Chetan, among others. The screenplay was written by Sudha Kongara, Arjun Nadesan, and Ganeshaa, with dialogues by Madhan Karky and Shan Karuppusamy. The film's music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Parasakthi is a Dawn Pictures production, produced by Aakash Baskaran.
