CHENNAI: The much-anticipated trailer of Parasakthi was unveiled on Sunday. A period-political entertainer, the film revolves around the rebellious era during Hindi imposition in Tamil Nadu. Helmed by Sudha Kongara, Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela play the lead roles.

The trailer reveals that the film is set in Pollachi, where Atharvaa is seen as a rebellious youngster, protesting against Hindi imposition. His brother, Sivakarthikeyan, is a responsible individual working in the railways. Ravi Mohan is a special officer, who instigates agitation to bring down all the protesting youngsters. The video later shows Sivakarthikeyan as a revolutionist leading youngsters to rebel against Hindi imposition and respect Tamil.

Produced by Aakash Baskaran, under the banner Dawn Pictures, GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music. Ravi K Chandran ISC is the cinematographer, while Sathish Suriya is overseeing the cuts.

The film is scheduled to release on January 10, locking horns with Vijay-starrer Jana Nayagan, which is hitting the screens on January 9.
