Nivetha Thomas in talks for Pink remake

After the success of Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil remake of hit Bollywood film Pink, there were reports that Boney Kapoor is planning to make the film in Telugu, featuring Pawan Kalyan in the lead role. The actor will reprise the role played by Amitabh Bachchan and the shoot is likely to begin by the end of this month.

The latest we hear is that actress Nivetha Thomas, who is known for her performance in Kamal Haasan’s Paapanasam, has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. A source close to the film’s unit says, “Nivetha Thomas might reprise Tapsee Pannu’s role from the original. However, nothing has been finalised yet. An official announcement will be made in a couple of weeks. The makers have also initiated talks with some of the top actors in Telugu for other two lead roles.” The source also added that Pawan Kalyan will join the sets of the film only in February. While Sriram Venu will direct the film, Tirvikram Srinivas has been roped in to pen the dialogues.
