Narthan opts out of Mufti remake, director Krishna takes over

Director Narthan who directed Kannada film Mufti and also helmed the Tamil remake, has now opted out of the film.

The director has moved on to a project with Yash. A source in the know told DT Next, “Though talks have taken place informally, Narthan is yet to sign the No Objection Certificate. Krishna of Jillunu Oru Kaadhal fame will be taking over the film while Narthan will be directing Yash in his next.” The Tamil remake of Mufti has Simbu and Gautham Karthik in lead roles and is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner Studio Green. Simbu is expected to join the sets after completing Maanaadu.
