CHENNAI: Riding high on the success of family entertainer ‘Thiruchitrambalam’, Dhanush's next screen appearance 'Naane Varuvean' would release worldwide on September 29.

With this, Dhanush would be having two theatrical releases in two months.

The film's director Selvaraghavan released a poster with a clean-shaven Dhanush honing his bow and arrow skills carrying the release date.

Naane Varuvean is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, directed by Selvaraghavan. The film's teaser dropped recently giving an action-thriller vibes to it.

The film also stars Indhuja, Selvaraghavan, Elli AvrRam, Prabhu and Yogi Babu. The fact that Dhanush, Selvaraghavan and Yuvan combo will reunite after Pudhupettai adds to the excitement behind songs and score. Camera is cranked by Om Prakash while the cuts are handled by Prasanna GK.

Dhanush will be seen playing a dual role in Naane Varuvean after Pattas (2020).

Naane Varuvean will be locking horns with Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan-1, which will hit big screens on September 30.
