CHENNAI: Director Mohan Raja and Jayam Ravi join forces once again for what promises to be a nail-biting sequel to their 2015 blockbuster Thani Oruvan.
The sequel produced by AGS Entertainment, retains Nayanthara as the female lead.
Curiosity regarding the latest offering from the duo peaked as a promo video was released on Monday.
The teaser footage, edited in a meta fashion, features a fourth-wall-breaking interlude. Here Mohan Raja is seen editing the screenplay of the film, intercut by his protagonist Mithran prepping up for his next assignment.
In a role reversal of sorts, the director promises us that the hunter will now be the hunted.
The unmistakable shadow of Siddharth Abhimanyu (Arvind Swami), who essayed the antagonist in the original film, looms heavily in Thani Oruvan 2.
