Rapper-producer MC Stan on Thursday released a new song titled Amin, which has been imagined as a personal track. It starts as a conversation between the Pune-born rapper and his mother.

Altaf Tadavi, popularly known as MC STAN, has come a long way from the lanes of Tadiwala Road in Pune where he grew up listening to qawwali. Over the last few months, he has been working on his audio-visual project Tadipaar.

Amin is his fifth video and, like his previous songs, semi-autobiographical.

He announced the release of the song on Instagram and wrote: "OUT NOW AMIN. TUMKO HONEKA FAMOUS , MEKO INDIA MEIN LAANEKA CHANGES (you want to be famous, I want to bring about changes in India)."

He sings that irrespective of his actions or of those around him, at the end of the day he just prays for all who wish him well and ill.

Although not religious in tone, Amin represents MC STAN's faith in himself and in a higher power, and the strength he draws from the word itself.

Hosh mai aa, Ek din pyaar, 307 and Numberkari are the previously released songs from the project.
