CHENNAI: On Wednesday, the makers of Dhanush-starrer D55 announced that Mammootty has joined the team. This update has delighted the fans as powerhouse performers are coming together for the project. This marks Mammootty's return to Tamil cinema after seven years, with his last outing in 2017, Peranbu.
Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, recently Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela joined the cast. Sai Abhyankkar is composing the music for this upcoming film. RTake Studios and Wunderbar Films are jointly backing the project. D55 marks the first collaboration between Dhanush and Mammootty.
The rest of the cast, along with further details about the film, are yet to be announced, but fans are eagerly awaiting updates as the project continues to take shape.
