KGF director had a problem with the bottle

Chennai: It might be unusual to see a mainstream director or a film star in India publicly admit to having an addiction. The director of KGF, Prashanth Neel, who has been promoting his big budget entertainer KGF: Chapter 2, seems to have spilled the beans on one of his older afflictions, in this case, a drinking problem.

During a recent interaction, Prashanth urged the interviewer on a witty note, “I reveal this with one condition, please promise me that you are not going to chop away this part of my interview.”

“Yes, I had a tendency to rely on intoxicants before penning down my stories. If the stories affect me as much even in a state of inebriation, then I conclude that this particular scene has what it takes”, Prashanth reveals.

Explaining what the director looks for when penning down his ideas, Prashanth said, “It is never about the story, but how it is presented, that is definitely the most important task”.

The director who has now made his mark on the pan-India circuit, tells us more on what’s happening on the work front. His next movie with Prabhas titled Salaar is on the cards, after which the filmmaker has a movie where he will direct Jr NTR
