CHENNAI: The long wait has ended and the "sizzle teaser" of Suriya's much-awaited pan-Indian project Kanguva is now out. The promo of the film was unveiled in Amazon Prime video, Mumbai and was welcomed with a rousing reception from the crowd.
In the video, Suriya and Bobby Deol locked horns and it is about the eternal rivalry, which spans for over 300 years. As soon as the teaser ended, Suriya asked if we had liked the teaser. He was happy with the nod of the head. The director of the film Siva aka Siruthai Siva looked more excited.
Talking to DT Next, Siva said, "The entire team has put a lot of hardwork behind Kanguva. We were all waiting to see as to how the audience would receive it. I am glad there was cheerfulness all around."
After nearly two years of intense shooting and pre-production, is now in the post-production stage.
Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner Studio Green, there has been a lot of expectations on Kanguva on the business front ever since the film was announced. "That will always be there and cannot be avoided. We have done the movie with conviction and have made justice to what we set out for," he added.
Directed by Siva, Suriya, who is playing the lead role in the film, recently has begun dubbing for his portions in the much-awaited film. The cast includes Bollywood stars Disha Patani and Bobby Deol, who are making their debut in Kollywood.
Recently, the first look of Bobby from the film was unveiled. In the film, Bobby will be seen essaying the role of an antagonist.
Composer Devi Sri Prasad handles the music, making his second collaboration with Siva after Veeram. The cinematography is done by Vetri Palaniswamy, and Nishadh Yusuf is the editor of Kanguva.
