There were reports doing the rounds that director AR Murugadoss will be bankrolling a web series that will have actress Vani Bhojan in the lead role. After making her debut in films with Oh My Kadavule, Vani will be making her debut in OTT with this series.

However, a source in the know of things told us that it has been produced by Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films. Another exclusive update is that the web series will also mark Jai’s debut on the OTT platform. “The shooting of the web series has been completed and will release on Hotstar soon. It is directed by Charukesh, the co-director of Petta. Initially, the makers had planned it as an April release. But it has been postponed due to unknown reasons. An official announcement will be made by Stone Bench in the coming days,” the source said.

The series also has city-based model Madhuri in an important role. Meanwhile, Karthik Subbaraj is busy with the post production work of Jagame Thanthiram that has Dhanush playing the lead. Jai will resume shooting for his film with Gopi Nainar post lockdown.
